Charlotte's Carpentry

We really liked the photos of Charlotte's Carpentry work on Qanvast and their Facebook page. After meeting with James, getting a quote and doing some comparisons, we found their prices reasonable and decided to let them take on the renovation of our home. We had a great experience working with James. He was helpful and patient throughout the entire process, guiding us in many decisions big and small. He was not pushy with his ideas, but spent extensive time trying to understand our ideas and helping us build our ideal home together. He was patient with us despite us not knowing what we want at times and changing our minds or making frequent amendments. James is not just strong in design, but also a fantastic project manager. He delivered the house on time without delays, and each stage of the renovation was completed according to schedule. His after-sales service was also very prompt. He would be quick to respond to our texts at various points in the week, and would arrange his contractors down to touch up areas that needed more work at no extra cost. There was also a small miscommunication on the cost of an item, and he offered to absorb the cost of it. Overall, the home is beautiful and we love it. It is a place we can see ourselves living in and raising a family for many years to come. Thank you James and Charlotte's Carpentry. We would highly recommend you to our friends.

We got to know about Charlotte’s Carpentry through Qanvast and was assigned to Mr Raymond Teng. Despite the tight timeline, he remains professional and is very receptive of ideas that we threw on him last minute. He not only listens and understand our requirements, he also builds on them and proposed innovative ideas to address them. He also keeps an open communication channel with us to provide timely updates and discuss solutions to certain issues he face. Our reno focus on storage and cabinets and we find that the workmanship and quality has lived up to the brand’s name - Charlotte’s Carpentry. He has made the reno journey a pleasant one and we would recommend him as your ID if you are looking for someone whom you can trust and work closely with to meet your reno needs.

Had a very good relationship with our ID, Raymond Teng. He is always ready to answer our queries and was very patient in walking us through the whole process. We had a very tight timeline and Raymond managed to complete the reno on time. He also spent time with us to look for the right tiles and sanitary fittings and did all the coordinations accordingly. When we received the basin in the wrong colour, he quickly helped to remedy the situation and it was resolved almost immediately. The workmanship of the carpentry would be the best(shoe cabinet, dining, wardrobe, island). It's neat and clean with symmetrical lines. There isn't any bumps or dents. However, paint job was not up to our standard. Walls were still quite patchy even after touch up so we had to do another coat on our own. Nevertheless, small matter. Overall, we are pleased with the reno! (: It was a pleasure working with Raymond and we highly recommend Charlotte's Carpentry!

We chose to do our ID with Riz from Charlotte's Carpentry for the second time as we had a splendid experience with him previously for our first home. Riz is very pleasant to work with and his strengths are his patience, sincerity and his attention to details. He managed to complete the job within a tight schedule even with the covid pandemic, which enabled us to move in seamlessly without having to look for an interim rental apartment. Riz was able to combine our practical needs with his creative suggestions, including our need for a toddler-safe environment and a layout that would be future proof for a growing family. He also has good taste in choosing the design elements in our project. The workmanship for the tiling, masonry, carpentry and painting were excellent and any minor defects were quickly acted upon when we informed Riz. We feel thankful to have Riz looking out for us throughout the project and have no qualms recommending him to our family and friends many times.
