As a family that was renovating their home for the very first time, we were looking for a design firm that would work with our limited budget, time and space as they were the biggest challenges we had to face, or any ID's greatest challenge so to say. We were pretty fuss free and honestly clueless on how all of it actually worked. We were upfront with Paisley - our designer - (as well as Charles) and told her that we did not really know what we were getting ourselves into and to guide us along the way. We told her what kind of look we were going for and the limitations we had to tackle, with the biggest one being the space constraint. Paisley was very reassuring on that matter and told us that she would try her best to work out and organize the area suitably. She had managed to plan the space out effectively and proposed good, practical designs that we were satisfied with. Despite having the renovations placed during a peak period, the work was almost completed very quickly with commendable workmanship. She was able to understand our constraints and delivered the design fruitfully. Contacting her was very easy as she was very present and clarified all queries or doubts instantly. Nonetheless, if i had to nitpick, i would say that the handover to us was slightly messy. I'd expect all works to be done by the time the handover happens. However, minor adjustments were still due even after moving in. Certain items were left behind by contractors which definitely hindered us from properly moving in. For instance, certain carpentry and wiring works were not entirely complete. Even items like cooker hood and ceiling light casing that was replaced were left behind. It was questionable on why it wasn't disposed and left for us to clear it. While action to complete these works were promptly scheduled it was upsetting that these works still had to be done after officially moving in. A lot of times, additional prompting was necesarry via chat messages to get things done as well as to see when works would be done. I would very much prefer to be informed about things rather than having to constantly ask questions and clarifying queries. Also, i feel it defeats the purpose of me engaging a design firm to take care of all these things if i have to pin point them out and raise concern over it. Certain things were also promised to be done during the beginning period of the renovation but we discovered they were not possible towards the end of the renovation only to distress us. Design wise, i just wished we were given a wider variety of styles we could have went for. For a family with no eye for design, it would have been nicer to know how different themes or spatial layouts would look before deciding on a final one. Additional suggestions or advice could have been given to assure us but that was not the case. I appreciate that we were given the freedom to choose whatever we wanted to but i just wished we would have been more informed and multiple spacial plans would have been suggested. Maybe we were to be blamed on this for having a tight time frame and budget. Oh well! On another note, i am slightly concerned about the quality of the items installed in the house. For example, the kitchen counter top had been stained from just a cup of tea within days of moving in and some kitchen cabinet doors were shaky. While repair works were promptly scheduled, i fear for the lasting quality of them in the long run. It's been about 3 weeks since we moved in and prompting is still required to get them to fix certain persistent issues and we are starting to notice certain design flaws that could have been rectified if we had better experience and knowledge as home owners. Alas, what is done is done. While we felt like we did go out of our budget, her willingness to work around our budget and tight time-frame dissolved it. We'd like to extend our thanks to her as well as to Charles for his expertise and not forgetting, to the contractors for doing a good job.

My ID was very patient and attentive when we had to sit down and discuss the designs. Regardless of how many concerns we had, she was able to efficiently come up with a solution for them. She was very professional and we were impressed with the final outcome of the renovation.

Our home is a resale flat in Kaki Bukit area. And being a resale flat, we had to do major hacking & tiling works for the kitchen and 2 bathrooms, plus redesigning of the master bedroom and living room space. Out of all the ID firms and recommended contractors we've met, Posh Home is the most expensive yet we decided to engage Miki to oversee the renovation of our first home. We were impressed by her when she came to view our unit and after discussing the design plans for the living & master bedroom, she straight away informed us that she managed to source the exact same marble flooring material for us (all these while the other IDs had straight up told us its not possible)..... Her professionalism and attitude wowed us, not to mention she has a great personality! Another plus points --> Posh Home provides a detailed breakdown of all the products & services included in the renovation in such as way that it's easy for first-time home owners like us to understand what we were paying for. No hidden cost or surprises which could lead to misunderstanding later. Throughout the process, we appreciated Miki's thoughtfulness in arranging appointments according to our schedule, knowing we have a young baby to care for. Miki tried her best to accommodate to our timelines (due to fensghui matters), she is mostly responsive to answering our inquiries even late at night and on weekends. But most importantly, she gives valuable inputs on how we could make the space functional / design better despite the budget we had given. In terms of Design & Material-wise, we felt that Miki made sure we are informed to make the right decisions for our home. In the end, we went slightly over our budget but we don't have regrets as we do think it was all necessary to choose quality materials as we intend to stay here for a long time. Having stayed in our new home for 3 months now, we feel comfortable with the space, and it's bright yet cozy. Friends who had come over during phase 3 all have praises for our new home and we've since recommended Miki to my 2 other colleagues. Our only feedback was the quality of workmanship for the bathroom tiling works could have been done better. Nonetheless, we are happy that we've chosen Miki as our ID for our first home.

We met a lot of IDs before deciding to work with Posh home. Paisely from Posh Home was accommodating to our requests and also knew what we wanted. She also helped to work with the contractors and expedite our renovation during a difficult time during the circuit breaker. Paisely not only advised on cost effective options but she managed to turn our vision of a bright, cosy home into reality. Thank you Paisely and Posh home!
