My family and I would like to thank Alex for his wonderful renovation work on our condominium.. Alex worked very closely with us over the last 2 months to discuss our preferences and tirelessly seeing to our requests. We appreciated that Alex shared and suggested ideas without being imposing. No detail was too small for him; from the height of the cabinets, to maximizing usage of space. Alex is very responsive to queries and will patiently explain the concept of his design layout. He also went the extra mile as he catered to corrections in changes of layout and insertion of additional renovation work. Most importantly he was able to meet our timeline during the manpower crunch and numerous restrictions imposed during this COVID period. He was able to plan the renovations to ensure the handover was timely despite restrictions imposed by MCST. After renovation, Alex was able to help us with the minor touch up work and rectification swiftly. It was such a wonderful experience working with him and we will not hesitate to recommend him to our family and friends.

Has been working with Jeff on previous condo project and current landed project. His dedication, responsibility and patience have been greatly appreciated throughout the period from brainstorming, draft design, detailed design, execution of renovation, completion of project and lastly during the warranty period. Communication with him is straight to the point and honest without any hidden agenda, and the charges including variation orders are all well written and discussed. With his wide range of knowledge in design and structural requirement, his team is able to provide us a beautiful place for us that we proudly called our home.

DO NOT ENGAGE THEIR SERVICES. You will definitely regret your decision and I sincerely hope no one has to go through what we went through for our renovation. Designer Yang Hann has been late for a lot of our appointments, disinterested in our renovation discussions when we are at showrooms, and does not provide updates after renovation has started. We have gone through a lot of unnecessary turmoil and many delays because of his inability to communicate important information to us. (Such as not informing us that the ceiling height will not be able to accommodate certain light fixtures before doing up the false ceiling. Thus we have to redo and even blamed us for not knowing such things. We are first time homeowners, how are we expected to know?) After letting their management know about his attitude and behaviour, he actually confronted us and proceeded to scream and shout at us in person. This kind of behaviour is horrifying and shouldn’t be experienced by any homeowners. Their workmanship is horrible, and after you point it out, they will offer to redo it again and again. But even after redoing, they will ask you to take the risk that it will still not be perfect. For example, after about 2 weeks when our bathroom niche tiles were done and grouting was also done, only did he realised that the led light point was not done so they had to redo it. I will attach photos of the tiles (many cracked and grouting was horrible) and let you guys be the judge of the workmanship. They have offered to redo it (again after redoing it) but wants us to take and accept the risk of it looking even worse than the one right now. So now we have to accept the current condition and pay for subpar workmanship and quality. Be very careful of every single thing in their contract because they tend to add stuff in even after they have mentioned that they will do it for you at no charge, and even after the “final quotation” is out. They will then ask you to provide black and white, and if you don’t have it as it was a verbal exchange, they will charge you for it. Remember to ask your ID to put every single thing in black and white if it is promised to you and not take their words as it is. I was foolish before to have ignored the bad reviews online warning me of this company. Renovation for first time home owners is stressful enough as it is and I hope no one has to go through what me and fiancé with this company. It was the worst decision I ever made going ahead to sign the renovation contract with Space Atelier. *After 5 weeks after commencing renovation works, skirting was still not removed entirely despite numerous reminders. It was supposed to be done during the hacking process but nope, still pieces of it left in and we had to check many times and remind many times. So much for “project management”. Hire at your own risk.
